Approach
A three-phase implementation
1. Vision of the organization and behavior
Mindstretching requires mental agility. That makes it both fun and challenging. The first step is for the top management of the organization to carry out an organizational and behavioral scan. Key concepts at this stage are psychological maturity of the organization and the management team. In the OMM© Experience sessions, top management carry out an analysis of current behavior and culture compared with what is required to achieve the vision. They translate the required behavioral profile into process and behavior rules. In implementing this phase, top management think, learn and experience for themselves what working on the required behavior means in practice.
At the end of this phase, top management carry out the first changes in their own processes and behavior. They have by then defined the strategy and approach for the further roll-out of OMM©. read more
2. Organizational and behavioral development
After top management have completed the first phase, managers and employees are given training and coaching in the OMM© language, tools and methodologies. Confronting, inspiring, on the edge, out of the box: managers and employees feel, learn, use and understand what it means to put the new behavior into practice in their everyday work. This is a process they all have to go through. Individual and team development points are defined. At this stage, the relationship between OMM© and achieving the vision becomes clear. read more
3. Embedding
After training and coaching of the organization, people are familiar with the new behavior and know how to apply it in practice. However, there is always a temptation to fall back into the old behavior. Overall embedding of OMM© in (existing) management systems protects managers and employees from this temptation. This phase is crucial, and determines whether organizational change will be temporary or permanent. In this embedding phase, OMM© gives managers and employees no escape. If behavior has to be embedded, there is only one methodology: OMM© read more
