“They do what they say”
“The Audit Chamber pointed out a few years ago that there were differences between the CWI locations, for example in they way they treated customers. Those differences arose partly from the situation on the local employment market. But they were also caused by differences in management style. We reached the conclusion at CWI that we had changed from an organization that just follows rules into one with a focus on the market. That required a 180 degree change in behavior by the management”, says Cees Kiene. “As a result, the Executive Board decided to certify the management training programs which are intended to bring about this change in behavior. And MANS was one of the parties that we called on to help us in that process.”
Passion
“In a project group in which MANS was represented by Huub van Heeswijk, we developed a complete certification process to work on three themes: market focus, people management and management style, and to improve the profiling of the locations using the INK model. MANS made a significant contribution to rolling-out these new competences by providing workshops, as well as follow-up in the managers’ working environments. This made a big contribution to the development of managers with a focus on the market at CWI. As one manager said in the evaluation: ‘I thought I already knew enough, but this process made me aware of my ‘blind spots’ and the need for further development’”, says Cees Kiene.
“What struck me was that Huub van Heeswijk provided a lot of follow-up, as well as his overall role in the process. When our coaches needed advice they could always approach him. At MANS I’ve noticed that they do what they say. Their quality is a result of their involvement and passion for their work.”
